This week’s #5PointTip continues our series on things to do BEFORE a disaster strikes. #2 is “Have an Emergency Plan”.
- First, put together an evacuation plan for your home and an emergency supplies kit for your home and vehicles. A list of ideas and ways to get kits can be found at http://www.utah.gov/beready/index.html it also gives you links to other great tips and ideas.
- Although we specialize in disasters that happen in your home, sometimes your family may not be together if a disaster strikes, so it’s important to have a plan set in place for when one does strike.
- Plans on where to meet if communications go down, or where to meet if a fire starts in your home.
